Heather Davis

A former Employment Law defense lawyer, Attorney Heather Davis possesses unique experience which she utilizes to her clients’ benefit. A fierce litigator with extensive courtroom experience throughout the United States in state and federal courts, Ms. Davis is dedicated to preserving and protecting the rights of her clients.

Ms. Davis was one of the few attorneys who helped to develop law regarding claims brought under the Private Attorney General Act, Cal. Lab. Code § 2699 et seq.A proficient legal advocate, Ms. Davis has obtained millions for those who have been wronged by their employers.

Lawyer Amir Nayebdadash is a founding partner of Protection Law Group. A knowledgeable Employment Attorney, Mr. Nayebdadash is a seasoned negotiator and highly skilled trial lawyer who has obtained numerous multi-million dollar settlements and verdicts on behalf of his clients.

CARLOS JIMENEZ

Extensive Experience and Knowledge

As a former partner and co-chair of his national class action practice group at a prominent employment defense firm, attorney Carlos Jiménez has extensive experience that he uses to benefit his clients. During his time as an employment defense attorney, Attorney Carlos Jiménez’s practice focused on defending employers in California wage and hour class action lawsuits and PAGA matters, and he contributed to superior courts’ efforts to streamline case management. class action lawsuit and PAGA. With this unique experience and knowledge, along with his extensive experience in state and federal courts, Attorney Carlos Jiménez is dedicated to preserving and protecting the rights of employees in the workplace.

Attorney Carlos Jiménez attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and received his Professional Doctorate from Loyola Law School. As a first-generation Mexican-American, Mr. Jiménez grew up in a blue-collar family and speaks fluent Spanish. Attorney Carlos Jiménez is admitted to practice law in all California state and federal courts and the California Court of Appeals.

Senior Associate
Leading Settlement and Approval Practice

An Associate Attorney with PLG, Mr. Clapp represents employees across a broad range of industries. He focuses exclusively on class action litigation involving missed meal breaks, rest breaks, unpaid wages, unpaid overtime, and employee misclassification. Mr. Clapp has extensive experience managing wage and hour litigation from intake, law and motion practice including summary judgment and class certification, and discovery including taking and defending depositions. Mr. Clapp also leads the firm’s settlement and approval practice where he prepares matters for resolution by analyzing data and damages, briefing, then preparing preliminary and final approval papers for class action settlements.

Mr. Clapp attended the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, graduating cum laude and serving as the managing editor of the Indiana Law Journal and as treasurer of Indiana chapter of Phi Delta Phi, a national scholastic legal honors society. Mr. Clapp is admitted to practice law in all California State and Federal Courts.

Associate

Christine Reyes is an Associate Attorney with PLG. Ms. Reyes represents employees in a wide range of employment matters, including wage and hour claims, wrongful termination, discrimination, and retaliation. With a strong legal background, Ms. Reyes previously represented plaintiffs in personal and catastrophic injury cases, gaining valuable experience that has shaped her approach in advocating for employees facing workplace injustices.

Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Reyes worked as a personal injury paralegal and legal assistant, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of the litigation process from intake to trial preparation, to resolution. This experience gave Ms. Reyes a unique perspective on case management, strategy, and helping clients navigate the complexities of the legal system. Ms. Reyes provides effective, compassionate representation and is committed to fighting for the rights of employees.

Ms. Reyes attended the University of California, Santa Cruz and earned her law degree from Santa Clara University, School of Law. Ms. Reyes is licensed to practice law in all California State Courts and in the U.S. District Courts for the Central District of California. Ms. Reyes is fluent in Spanish.

As an Associate Attorney at PLG, Ms. Sahebghalam assists clients in a variety of employment law matters including wage and hour class actions and representative actions under PAGA. Prior to joining PLG, Ms. Sahebghalam represented a range of plaintiffs in employment discrimination cases, sexual harassment cases, wrongful termination and wage and hour disputes in state and federal court and arbitration.

Born and raised in Southern California, Ms. Sahebghalam completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles and earned her law degree from Pacific Coast University School of Law. Due to her experience and commitment to employment law, Ms. Sahebghalam is well-suited to provide her clients with effective representation by ensuring their rights in the workplace are protected. Ms. Sahebghalam is licensed to practice law in all California State Courts and in the U.S. District Courts for Central District and Eastern District of California.

Associate
As an Associate Attorney at PLG, Mr. Karpiuk is passionate about protecting and vindicating employees’ rights in the workplace. His practice focuses on holding bad-faith employers accountable through class action litigation for wage-and-hour violations and other violations of the California Labor Code. Mr. Karpiuk firmly believes that people should enjoy strong protections at work; the place where they spend so much of their valuable time.
 
Mr. Karpiuk has always had a soft spot for the little guy. Prior to joining PLG, Mr. Karpiuk specialized in consumer class actions-representing regular consumers deceived by false and misleading advertising. Mr. Karpiuk earned his law degree at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where he volunteered for a workers’ rights clinic and served on the board of the Hale Moot Court Honors Program. Prior to law school, he graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz and worked as a legal assistant at a prominent east coast law firm. Mr. Karpiuk is licensed to practice in all California state courts, as well as the U.S. District Courts in the Northern and Central Districts of California. A native of Belarus, Mr. Karpiuk is fluent in Russian.

Mr. Horton is a senior attorney at Protection Law Group, LLP, where he represents employees in complex employment litigation and enforcement actions. His practice includes wage and hour class actions, Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) representative actions, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims under the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), wrongful termination, whistleblower protection, and claims involving unpaid wages, overtime, and meal/rest break violations.

With over 20 years of litigation experience, Mr. Horton has served as lead and co-counsel on numerous high-stakes matters involving thousands of employees across California. He has helped recover millions of dollars on behalf of workers and is known for his strategic advocacy and commitment to securing meaningful results for his clients. Mr. Horton believes that effective legal representation begins with trust and communication. He works closely with his clients to provide clear, honest, and thorough counsel at every stage of the litigation process, empowering them to make informed decisions about their rights and their cases.

Before joining Protection Law Group, Mr. Horton worked at several respected plaintiff-side employment law firms, where he developed a strong foundation in employee rights litigation. He earned his J.D. from California Western School of Law and his B.A. from California State University San Marcos. He is admitted to practice before all California state courts and the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern Districts of California.

Ms. Huerta is a senior litigation attorney at PLG. Licensed as an attorney since 2008, she has more than 16 years of legal experience dealing with highly complex employment litigation, class action, and civil rights. Serving clients throughout California, Ms. Huerta has achieved significant success fighting for the rights and entitlements of employees who have suffered serious violations of their rights, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, and more. A highly compassionate and personable attorney, Ms. Huerta truly cares about the issues her clients are facing and has gained a reputation as a tireless advocate who aggressively pursues the most favorable outcomes on her clients’ behalf. She also understands the stress and anxiety her clients are feeling regarding their situations, and she delivers dedicated, effective counsel and support with the utmost care and respect to help them obtain the justice they deserve. Fluent in Spanish, she can communicate directly with many who may struggle to speak English.

In 2020, Ms. Huerta was selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star. She practices in the areas of Labor and Employment Law, including Class Actions, Wrongful Termination, Discrimination, Sexual Harassment/Sexual Assault/Sexual Battery, Negligent Hiring and Supervision, and Civil Rights. Ms. Huerta is admitted to practice law in California, the U.S. District Court for the Central and Northern District of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.

In her spare time, Ms. Huerta provides pro-bono legal assistance to battered women and unaccompanied immigrant children.
