Por ejemplo, si un empleador ofrece tiempo de vacaciones pagadas, los empleados tienen derecho a tomar el tiempo de vacaciones asignado y recibir pago por cualquier tiempo de vacaciones no utilizado.<\/p><p>Los empleadores que ofrecen PTO como beneficio para atraer y retener empleados pueden establecer ciertas restricciones sobre el tiempo de vacaciones, como implementar un per\u00edodo de espera para nuevos empleados, establecer l\u00edmites de acumulaci\u00f3n, requerir aviso para las solicitudes de tiempo libre y establecer diferentes pol\u00edticas para gerentes y empleados. Esto se aplica independientemente de si un empleado renuncia, se despide, es despedido o es despedido. La oportunidad de recibir el \u00faltimo cheque de pago, que debe incluir el pago por d\u00edas de vacaciones o PTO no utilizados, depende de si el empleado renunci\u00f3 o fue despedido.\u00a0<\/p><p>La ley de California proh\u00edbe las pol\u00edticas de \"usar o perder\", donde los empleados pierden el tiempo de vacaciones acumulado si no lo utilizan antes de una cierta fecha.
