Los s\u00edntomas pueden incluir entumecimiento de las extremidades, dolor o debilidad en el cuello, cabeza o espalda, p\u00e9rdida de coordinaci\u00f3n o funciones motoras, hormigueo o p\u00e9rdida de sensaci\u00f3n en las extremidades, y par\u00e1lisis parcial o completa. Las principales causas incluyen accidentes vehiculares, ca\u00eddas, accidentes laborales, actos de violencia, lesiones deportivas y errores m\u00e9dicos.\u00a0<\/p><p>Existen dos tipos principales de LME: completa e incompleta. Las LME completas resultan en una p\u00e9rdida total de funci\u00f3n por debajo del punto de lesi\u00f3n, mientras que las incompletas permiten cierta sensaci\u00f3n o movimiento por debajo de la lesi\u00f3n.
